We sadly farewell Drs Marion Tait and Chris Alexander who have both moved south for family commitments.

Changes at Medical Centre

Firstly good news; Dr Jane Barker has returned from long service leave (she spent eight months working in Africa). She is glad to be back and is committed to staying in the area and working at our Medical Centre.

Sadly in January this year we saw the departure of two wonderful doctors from Bangalow. Dr Chris Alexander had worked here for five years and left to be nearer to family at Bowral south of Sydney.

We also lost Dr Marion Tait who unfortunately needed to follow her husband to Newcastle where he will be doing his specialist training to be an anesthetist. Marion has told us she hopes to return soon.
Perhaps the biggest blow to us is that Dr Paul O’Brien has decided to move on after ten years of commitment to the community. He has decided to take on new challenges in the field of Skin and Sun Cancer Treatment. His last day at Bangalow Medical Centre will be 31 May 2007. We will miss him and try our best to find a good long term replacement.

In other good news, Dr Jodi Stevenson, Dr Jill Pryor and Dr Rebecca Scott have agreed to work at our Medical Centre.

We will still have our registrar doctors working here and currently this is Dr Arron Veltre who works full time.

Tess Byrne, one of our receptionists is also moving with her partner to Sydney where he is taking up an exciting job at Fox Studios. She will be replaced by Sandra Stanford who is a very experienced medical receptionist.

The Doctors and staff at The Bangalow Medical Centre are very committed to the health and wellbeing of the Bangalow Community and are sorry for any inconvenience these changes have caused. Our aim as always is to provide continuous quality care for all of our patients.
